Who runs Tended
Tended is an independent app made by a solo developer — the developer named on Tended's App Store and Google Play listings, who is the "controller" of your data under the EU and UK GDPR. Contact: hello@tended.studio.
What Tended collects
- Account details — your name, email, and sign-in through Apple or Google if you use it.
- Your content — what you add to the app, shared with the people in your family space.
- Subscription status — payments go through the App Store or Google Play; Tended never sees your card.
- Usage and diagnostics — how the app is used, device and app version, performance and crash data.
- Website — your email if you join the waitlist, and basic visit analytics.
Face ID, fingerprint and voice input are handled by your phone. Tended doesn't receive biometrics or recordings.
Why
- To run the app and the features you use (the basis is the terms you agree to).
- To fix bugs and improve the app (Tended's legitimate interest). You can object by email at any time.
- To send the waitlist invite you asked for (your consent).
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax records.
Tended doesn't sell your data, doesn't show ads, and doesn't use your content to train AI models.
Who helps run it
Tended relies on trusted providers for hosting, storage, sign-in, payments, notifications, analytics and error monitoring. They process data only on Tended's behalf, under data processing agreements. Some are in the US; transfers out of the EU and UK are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
How long it's kept
While your account exists. After you delete it, your data is removed within 30 days, and from backups within a further 30. Analytics are kept up to 12 months; waitlist emails until you join or ask to be removed.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data to download, and delete your account at any time in the app's settings. For a copy or any other request, write to hello@tended.studio. You'll get an answer within 30 days, free of charge. In the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Age
Tended is for ages 13 and up. Users under the age of digital consent where they live (up to 16 in some EU countries) need a parent or guardian's permission. Tended doesn't knowingly collect data from children under 13; if that happens, it will be deleted.
Security and changes
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is tightly limited. Tended will tell you about any breach that affects you, and about important changes to this policy before they take effect.
